I just noticed the title of the KOTA Television story is "Wind Cave Used As Bargaining Chip?"
Here's an excerpt from an AP story:
Economic development and jobs will likely be among the main issues put on the table, Giago said. But he also thinks the return of the Black Hills to the Lakota will come up, too."This is an issue that has never been settled," said Giago. But this time "rather than saying it's a moot issue, maybe at least they will take a look at it."
When American Indians talk about the return of the Hills, most do not think the whole area will be regained, he said. But a small tract of land now controlled by the U.S. Forest Service, for example, might be a possibility, said Giago.
"I think it's going to be on the table for discussion."
Among those absent from the meeting will be Thune. Dick Wadhams, Thune's campaign manager, said Thune was not invited and has scheduled other campaign events on Saturday.
Giago said he had recommended that Thune be included, but that never happened.
