From Sunday's Rapid City Journal, which discusses what Daschle will do if he loses:
"Daschle would become a lobbyist like his wife (Linda) and stay in DC. It doesn't take a seer to know that," Larry Sabato, director of the University of Virginia's Center for Politics, said.
Makes sense--his wife, son, and daughter-in-law all lobby or lobbied.
More from the Rapid City Journal story:
"If [Daschle] loses, I'm sure he's coming back to Aberdeen," [political science professor Jon] Schaff said jokingly. "Not a chance he's coming back to South Dakota. His wife makes a nice living as a lobbyist in Washington, DC."
Ouch.
