From The New York Times report on the Democratic convention in Boston:
Some joint ventures prove that politics still makes strange bedfellows. The Distilled Spirits Council is joining forces with three publications — The New Republic, The Economist and Roll Call, the Capitol Hill newspaper. They will salute the Senate Democratic leader, Tom Daschle.
The only problem is that, as SDP found in a Washington Post report, Daschle is getting out of there early to avoid pictures of him with John Kerry.
