Daschle Camp Fears Tort Reform Ad

The Daschle campaign has realized that the Chamber of Commerce's tort reform ad is cutting deeply and they are scrambling to find a way to neutralize it. Word on the street is that they are pressuring business people into complaining to the national Chamber about the ad. Yes, we wouldn't want the truth to get out or anything like that.

UPDATE: Here's an excerpt from the draft letter to the national Chamber of Commerce that the Daschle campaign is trying to pressure local business people to sign:

Your decision to run these negative ads hurts our image and our relationship with our Congressional delegation.

Actually, they hurt Daschle's "image" by exposing the fact that he's constantly blocked tort reform in the US Senate, a matter that the South Dakota press has completely ignored. These ads are trying to inform voters. That Daschle wants voters to be uninformed is telling.
