Daschle Iraq Comments III
The article by Denise Ross about Daschle praising the President's Iraq effort when back in South Dakota has generated a great deal of web attention. This site was the first link. Then South Dakota Politics. Then Drudge. Then Powerline. Then Instapundit. Quite the little blogo-storm. Instapundit (i.e. Glen) asks: "I wonder what polls he's seen?" Funny Glen should ask. Daschle has seen this poll, the most recent, which shows him ahead 48%-45% after spending $5 million on ads when Thune has done exactly zippo. Deacon at Powerline calls this Daschle's "one decent year in six," i.e. it's election season, so get ready for the conservative side of Daschle, which only comes out in South Dakota.
...Or maybe Puff Daddy Tom has obtained access to the skinny on OBL's imminent capture, now being reported via a Drudge link...as well as perhaps the transcripts from some of the recent Saddam interrogations that have pinpointed WMD locations. Or maybe he just knows from alot of years with the guy that Kerry is DEFINITELY no Jack Kennedy.
